Johannesburg. eBucks, South Africa's leading multi-partner rewards programme, and kulula.com, the country's first low fare airline, have announced the launch of an exciting new online booking facility allowing eBucks members to fly with kulula.com for free.

"kulula.com is South Africa's first low fare airline with a brand positioning and target market that works well with eBucks. Our travel offering is already the most flexible of all the local rewards programmes. Our new online payment engine allowing members to book and pay for their kulula.com flights in eBucks will enhance the booking experience into a faster, easier and more convenient process," said Lezanne Human, CEO of eBucks.

eBucks members are now able to log on to either the kulula.com or eBucks websites and book kulula.com tickets directly off either of these two websites, in a safe and secure environment. Customers can pay in full with their free eBucks, part pay with eBucks, pay in full with a credit card or 'pay later' within 24 hours. Confirmed bookings can also be viewed online.

Both parties are well established in the South African market - since its launch in October 2000, eBucks has allocated more than R830 million worth of eBucks to members and has an earn to spend ratio of over 70% - indicating an active member base. kulula.com, was launched in August 2001 and operates over 300 flights a week on 13 routes including 5 regional destinations and has carried over 7 million customers to date. kulula.com is still South Africa's biggest online retailer making over R1bn in annual online sales with over 80% of the airline's flight bookings made online.

Gidon Novick, joint CEO of kulula.com added, "With kulula.com being the largest on-line retailer in the country, we are sure that there are joint customers that will be very excited at the increased flexibility of our respective offers. Both eBucks and kulula.com have been pioneers in our fields so the overall combination creates something quite special."
