eBucks for farmers

More Press Releases Monday, 8 October 2007

South African farmers can now earn eBucks, the reward of choice, on the purchases they make with the recently launched First National Bank Agri Purchasing Card. eBucks is South Africa's leading rewards programme. It is focused on delivering real and meaningful value to partners and members alike and was recently named as the multi-partner rewards programme that members get the most value out of.

Farmers can pay for goods and services at approved agricultural suppliers with the FNB Agri Purchasing card and earn eBucks in the process. They can then spend the eBucks they have earned on any of the endless choice of rewards that eBucks offers its members.

eBucks CEO, Lezanne Human, said: "The rewards industry has historically not been very active in the agricultural sector and we feel that given eBucks' innovativeness we are ideally suited to offer rewards to this market. This Agri offering is an extension of our eBucks for Business programme that has grown from strength to strength since it was launched in June 2005."

The card is available to FNB agricultural cheque or pre-plan crop finance account holders who have elected to join eBucks for Business. FNB is the first commercial bank in the country to offer farmers a rewards programme linked to supply purchases.

Farmers earn eBucks, for free, with each qualifying transaction. Because eBucks is a multi-partner programme, farmers will also be able to earn from eBucks' other partners. They then have the option of saving their eBucks as they never expire or they can spend their eBucks (eB10 is worth R1) on an endless choice of rewards.

eBucks offers its members the widest range of choices of any rewards programme in South Africa – not just the choice of rewards, but also in the range of channels available to members to spend their eBucks through.

eBucks can be spent in the eBucks shop, which was recently named as one of the two top online malls in the country, at eBucks auctions, through eBucks travel, with eBucks' online partners or at eBucks' in-store partners with the eBucks card.

Farmers can request a FNB Agri Purchasing Card to be issued and registered with eBucks at their local branch. Alternatively, they may contact eBucks on 087 320 3200 or www.eBucks.com. For more information on the FNB Agri Purchasing Card, visit www.fnb.co.za or local FNB Branch.
